BACKGROUND:

 

Council has requested an update on Emergency Management initiatives underway by Township Staff, which are set out in the attachments to this Staff Report. 

 

ISSUES: 

 

1.  Rationale for Selected Option

Council requested an update of staff efforts in relation to emergency management.

 

2.  Organizational Implications

There are no significant organizational implications related to the update itself.  Emergency management and preparedness initiatives touch on all departments within the Township and seek to improve the resiliency of all citizens in Esquimalt.

 

3.  Financial Implications

There are no financial implications to this report.

 

4.  Sustainability & Environmental Implications

There are no sustainability or environmental implications.

 

5.  Communication & Engagement 

This report will be available for viewing on the Township website.  There is a wealth of information available on the Township website, as well as links to partner websites.
