RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
1. That Council approve the appointments to internal and external committees, commissions and boards as attached to Staff Report ADM-18-030; and
2. That the Township of Esquimalt ratifies and confirms the appointment of its current CRD representatives to the Capital Region Housing Corporation Board.

BACKGROUND:
At the Inaugural Meeting of Council held on November 5, 2018, Council passed the following Motion:
"That Council ratify the Council appointments to Internal and External Committees, Commissions and Boards as recommended by Mayor Desjardins in her Inaugural Address."
Subsequent to the meeting, it came to staff's attention that three appointments had not been made. In addition, the CRD subsequently requested that the Township ratify the appointment of its current CRD representatives to the Capital Region Housing Corporation Board. The proposed Appointment List is attached. The four additional appointments to be ratified by Council are highlighted in yellow, being:
(1) an alternate to the Capital Regional District Arts Committee,
(2) an alternate to the Capital Regional Water Supply Commission,
(3) appointment of a Council member to the Capital Regional Climate Action Inter- Municipal Task Force, and
(4) appointment of the Township's CRD Board Director and alternate to the Capital Region Housing Corporation Board.
