That Council approve Traffic Order 1263 "Residential Parking Only" along the frontage of Intervale Avenue.

BACKGROUND:
Intervale Avenue between the intersection of Lockley Road/Intervale Avenue and the intersection of Highrock Avenue/Rockcrest Avenue/Intervale Avenue is a local road with the streetscape being one of single family homes. The street forms a connection route between two local roads. There are no parking restrictions on it at this time. The Township has received a request for the implementation of residential only parking from the residents, due to utilization of on street parking by employees of local industry. See Attachment A for location map and Traffic Order.
ISSUES:
1. Rationale for Selected Option
In accordance with Council Policy E&PW-03 Township Guide to Parking Restrictions (Guide), the lead resident undertook the canvassing of the residents on the street.
The results of the survey are:
* Number of properties canvassed: 16 of 16
* Test 1 - 100% of properties canvassed
* Number of properties signed the petition: 13 of 16 (13 individuals)
* Test 2 - 81% of properties signed the petition
See Attachment B for parking petition. As per the Guide, the petition meets both of the tests for a parking restriction to be implemented.
