PURPOSE OF APPLICATION:
The bylaw to amend the existing CD-136 zone at 817 Esquimalt Rd received third reading on May 1, 2023. It proposes an extra storey (to 9), additional density (to combined 3.2 FAR) and 12 extra units (from 92 to 104). The existing Housing Agreement Bylaw is proposed to be amended to address the following:
* Reference to the newly consolidated parcels with updates to both the legal description and the new address of 817 Esquimalt Road.
* Amendment to the number of dwelling units referenced in the agreement, now 104 (previously 92) for seniors over the age of 55.
* Amendment to reflect the number of parking spaces provided, now 69 (previously 62).

CHRONOLOGY:

April 3, 2023: First and second reading of Zoning Amendment Bylaw.
May 1, 2023: Public Hearing and third reading of Zoning Amendment Bylaw.

ISSUES:

Adoption of amended Housing Agreement Bylaw is required to reflect the changes to the amendment bylaw and to enable its adoption.
