RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
That Council approve the implementation of Traffic Order 1347 for "Residential Parking Only" signage be installed on both sides of Fleming Street commencing 9m north of the intersection of Fleming Street and Colville Road and extending north 74m on the east side of Fleming Street and 83m on the west side of Fleming Street as set out in EPW-24-007.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The purpose of this report is to implement Residential Parking Only on Fleming Street.
BACKGROUND:
Fleming Street is a local road with the streetscape being primarily comprised of single-family homes and duplexes. There are currently no parking restrictions on Fleming Street north of Colville Road except for a no parking traffic order starting at the north end of the proposed Residential Parking for the cul-de-sac.
The Township has received a request for the implementation of residential parking only from the residents. Their concern is that non-resident vehicles will occupy the roadway as a part of a new development. See Attachment 1 for Traffic Order and site map.
ANALYSIS:
In accordance with Council Policy E&PW-03 Township Guide to Parking Restrictions (Guide), the lead resident undertook the canvassing of the residents on the street.
The results of the survey are:
* Number of properties canvassed: 16 of 16 (100%)
* Test 1 - 90% of properties canvassed
* Number of properties signed the petition: 15 of 16 (94%)
* Test 2 -80% of properties signed the petition
