Recommendation
That Council appoint Councillor Brame to the Local Grant Committee.

BACKGROUND:
On July 15, 2022, Councillor Jane Vermeulen resigned from the Township of Esquimalt Municipal Council. This resignation resulted in a vacancy on the Township’s Local Grant Committee. The Local Grant Committee is comprised of three appointed members of Council. An appointment is necessary to fill the vacancy on the committee prior to the next meeting to consider permissive tax exemption requests.
ISSUES:
1. Rationale for Selected Option
The proposed appointment will fill the existing vacancy and restore the Local Grant Committee to full membership.
