SUBJECT:                      Proposed Revisions to 2026 Provisional Police Budget

 

INFORMATION:

 

At the November 10, 2025 Committee of the Whole, the Victoria and Esquimalt Police Board (VEPB) presented the 2026 Provisional Police Budget. After receiving comments from both the City of Victoria and Township of Esquimalt Councils, the Police Board responded with potential revisions to the proposed police budget. Council invited the Police Board to present those proposed revisions to the 2026 police budget for Council discussion and debate. The presentation is included in Attachment 1 to this memorandum.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

Recommendation

That Council receive the Victoria and Esquimalt Police Board’s presentation on the proposed revisions to the 2026 Police Budget for information as attached to Staff Report No. ADM-26-010.
