SUBJECT:                      Committee Membership Update

 

INFORMATION:

 

As outlined in Council Policy ADMIN-40 Appointment Process - Advisory Committees, Commissions, and Board of Variance, the Township conducts recruitment annually for its various advisory bodies. Recruitment is underway and will close October 18th, 2024. Two members of the Advisory Planning Commission Design Review Committee have terms that are set to conclude at the end of 2024. One member whose term is set to conclude is a representative of the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects (BCSLA), which has decided to re-nominate Shaun Smakal to serve a second term. The other member whose term is set to conclude has been notified of their term’s conclusion and, due to the number of terms served, informed that they are not eligible to seek re-appointment. The below tables summarize the current status of Committee membership.
