SUBJECT: Request to Postpone Consideration of Applications Related to 900 Carlton Terrace and 900 Esquimalt Road to April 8, 2024
INFORMATION:
At a meeting held March 4, 2024, Council postponed consideration of the Development Permit and Development Variance Permit applications pertaining to 900 Carlton Terrace and 900 Esquimalt Road to the next regularly scheduled Council meeting on March 18, 2024. During the meeting, the applicant’s availability to attend a meeting on March 18 was not confirmed prior to the motion passing. The applicant advised staff the next day that he would not be able to attend and requested that the applications be further postponed until the subsequent regular Council meeting to be held April 8, 2024.
To facilitate the rescheduling of consideration of these applications, Council is requested to approve a motion to further postpone consideration of the Development Permit and Development Variance Permit applications at 900 Carlton Terrace and 900 Esquimalt Road until April 8, 2024.
If further postponement is approved, the Development Permit and Development Variance Permit applications for 900 Carlton Terrace and 900 Esquimalt Road will be considered at the regular Council meeting on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Esquimalt Municipal Hall, 1229 Esquimalt Road, Esquimalt, BC, V9A 3P1. There will be opportunities for input from the proponent during the meeting on April 8, 2024, in relation to the Development Permit and Development Variance Permit applications. There will also be opportunities for input from members of the public during the meeting on April 8, 2024 in relation to Council’s consideration of issuance of the sought Development Variance Permit.
