SUBJECT: 2026 Draft Budget Book
INFORMATION:
Based on the premise that the existing budget process was difficult to understand for the public and new Council members, staff were directed to create a single document that consolidates most of the budget information, including past, current and projected data. An initial draft was presented at the Committee of the Whole meeting on June 16, 2025 which included the 2025 financial plan data.
As the budget process is continuous, the numbers and other details often change which require updates to the document to ensure it provides the most current and relevant information. The document attached to this memorandum has been revised to reflect such changes and to address the accuracy and completeness of all schedules within the document.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
That the Committee of the Whole provide feedback to staff about the current draft document, including any changes they would like to see in future year versions.
