Body

The following is a report on the activities pertaining to the Development Services Department from January 1, 2025 to April 30, 2025.

1. DIVISION ACHIEVEMENTS AND ACTIVITIES

1. Rezoning Application / Official Community Plan Amendments

In addition to processing rezoning applications submitted previously (Appendix "B"), the Department received two new rezoning & OCP amendment applications in the first period:

* 922 Forshaw Road - Amend zoning to allow for Bed & Breakfast use.
* 868 Old Esquimalt Road - Rezoning to a new Comprehensive Development [CD] zone to allow the development of 7 townhouse dwellings.

2. Development Permit (DP) Applications

In addition to the existing development permit applications that staff continued to process (Appendix "B"), the department received ten new applications in the first period:

* 525 Paradise Street - (Delegated) SSMUH, no variance
* 1079 Gosper Crescent - (Delegated) Proposed SSMUH
* 1215 Colville Road - Add additional unit to existing duplex (SSMUH)
* 604 Nelson Street - 6 story residential/ mixed use building, 235 residential, one commercial space.
* 852 Esquimalt Road - Seven requested changes to various areas within the development
* 805 Hutchinson Avenue - DADU
* 1004 Gosper Crescent - DADU
* 1158 Heald Avenue- DADU
* 770 Dominion Road - Removal of lifts
* 1114 Munro- Proposed SSMUH 4Plex



3. Development Variance Permit (DVP) Applications

In addition to the existing development variance permit applications that staff continued to process (Appendix "B"), the department received six new applications in the first period:

* 1215 Colville Road - Variance to reduce the required setbacks of a principal building
