RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
That Council appoint Councillor Meagan Brame, as recommended by Mayor Desjardins, to the CRD Regional Housing Trust Fund Commission for a two-year term commencing January 1, 2021, and further direct staff to advise the Capital Regional District accordingly.

BACKGROUND:
At the November 2, 2020, meeting Council ratified the 2021 Council Appointments to external and internal Committees, Commissions and Boards. The recommended appointments did not include a representative for the CRD Regional Housing Trust Fund Commission and, as such, no appointment for 2021 was made. As the current term for this Commission expires on December 31, 2020, CRD staff have requested the name of the member to represent Esquimalt for a two year term commencing January 1, 2021, as outlined in the letter dated November 24, 2020, from Ms. Lagoa, Deputy Corporate Officer, CRD (Attachment No. 1). Councillor Hundleby has held this position for the past two years.

Mayor Desjardins has recommended that Councillor Meagan Brame be appointed to fulfill the responsibilities of this position for a two year term.
