SUBJECT:                      Annual Commission Chair Update to Council

 

INFORMATION:

 

Annually, our Committee and Commission Chairs are invited to provide an update to Council on the activities of their respective advisory body. This year, Nathaniel Sukhdeo, Advisory Planning Commission Chair, will attend the July 16th, 2025 Committee of the Whole meeting to update Council on:

•                     the role of the Commission and how it helps Council achieve its Strategic Priorities and Objectives;

•                     how to build and maintain effective communication between Council and the Commission; and

•                     suggest future enhancements to the Commission and provide feedback on how the Commission can add further value.

 

This purpose of this memorandum is to provide context to the Commission Chair Update discussion ahead of the June 16th, 2025 Committee of the Whole. Commission members are invited to provide feedback to the Chair on the above subject matters to assist them in providing their update to Council on behalf of the Advisory Planning Commission.
