SUBJECT: Adoption of Maintenance of Property and Nuisance Regulation Bylaw Amendments
INFORMATION:
At a Council meeting held February 26, 2024, Council gave three readings to “Maintenance of Property and Nuisance Regulation Bylaw, 2014, No. 2826, Amendment Bylaw, 2024, No. 3133” to change the permitted hours for construction noise within the Township.
At that meeting, Council requested that staff delay adoption of the bylaw for at least 60 days to allow the broader construction community to adjust to the pending amendments, particularly those with projects already underway in Esquimalt. In addition, Council directed staff to notify those impacted prior to bringing the bylaw back for adoption. These additional requirements are now complete, and Council is now requested to give final reading and adoption to the “Maintenance of Property and Nuisance Regulation Bylaw, 2014, No. 2826, Amendment Bylaw, 2024, No. 3133”.
