SUBJECT: Repeal and Reading/Adoption of Small-Scale Multi-Family Housing (SSMFH) Zoning Amendment Bylaw
INFORMATION:
The notice of First Reading for Zoning Bylaw, 1992, No. 2050, Amendment Bylaw, 2024, No. 3139 was not made for the regular Meeting of Council on June 3, 2024, where the bylaw was given three readings and was adopted. This invalidates the bylaw, as proper notification procedure was not followed.
Staff presents to Council Zoning Bylaw, 1992, No. 2050, Amendment Bylaw, 2024, No. 3142 (Appendix A) for consideration. It is identical to Amendment Bylaw No. 3139, with the exceptions that: a clause has been added to repeal Amendment Bylaw 2024, No. 3139; the Schedule has specifically been referred to as Schedule A; and proper public notification processes were followed for the June 24, 2024, regular Meeting of Council.
Staff recommends that Council:
Give three readings and adopt Zoning Bylaw, 1992, No. 2050, Amendment Bylaw, 2024, No. 3142 (Appendix A) as the bylaw is provincially mandated to be adopted by June 30, 2024.
