STRATEGIC RELEVANCE:

Operational Strategy - Review Township policies and bylaws to ensure efficient processes; amend and update as necessary

BACKGROUND:

Due to the recent adoption of the Streets and Traffic Regulation Bylaw, 2017, No. 2898 and the Building Regulation Bylaw, 2017, No. 2899, the infraction sections of these bylaws have changed necessitating a change in the schedules of the Bylaw Notice Enforcement Bylaw, 2014, No. 2839, so that they align with the new bylaws.

ISSUES:

1.  Rationale for Selected Option

In order to enable Bylaw Enforcement to continue to write Bylaw Offence Notices for the offences created by the Streets and Traffic Regulation Bylaw and the Building Regulation Bylaw, the schedules of the Bylaw Notice Enforcement Bylaw must be in alignment with these sections of the root bylaws.

2.  Organizational Implications

There are no significant organizational implications.

3.  Financial Implications

There are no significant financial implications

4.  Sustainability & Environmental Implications

There are no sustainability or environmental implications.

5.  Communication & Engagement

The revised Bylaw and new schedules will be posted on the web site should they be approved by Council.
